Origins GinZing Moisturiser

For the last month or so this little gem has filled my Bloglovin feed with endless amount of posts giving it numerous of praise, everyone and their mother seems to have this product! And lucky for me couple of weeks back whilst taking a good ol browse in my local Boots store i was over the moon to see this stocked. i was very surprised as it doesn't stock any other Origins products, but hey i aint complaining! The Origins GinZing £23.00 is a lightweight, OIL FREE!! moisturiser which is meant to give a energy boosting look to the skin. and after a few weeks of using this i will forever be repurchasing it. ive never found a moisturiser that ive really loved or liked even, to me they've always just been a necessary step in my skincare routine and ive never seen a massive difference to my skin by any moisturiser, until now! My combination skin loved this, it is so lightweight and it really has jumpstarted my hydrations levels, my skin feels refreshed and has definitely got a healthy, radiant glow but without looking shiny or oily which is essential to me. it does give a slight dewy finish but i prefer that to matte, the scent is also quite delightful, very orangy and fruity, im not a orange scent lover at all especially after what the REN gylcolactic mask smells like, yuk! but this isnt as strong and actually quite inviting.

Another pro about this product is it has spf15 in it, and although i am a sucker for a sunbed and love a good tan, on my face sun damage is a no no! although spf 15 isnt extremely high its good enough for me. i think this product would do a fab job on any skin type, its not to oily or greasy for combination/oily skin and for normal/dry skin i think it would give a real boost for hydration!

Tattoo #6

I'm sure by the title you can tell this post isn't exactly about beauty but to me it kinda is. I'm a huge lover for tattoos and i see them more as beautiful art then anything else. I've had a few small tattoos around my body, mainly wrists and ankles, but I've always wanted to get a half sleeve.

I really wanted four roses on my sholder/top arm, roses to me are very classic and they signify beauty, especially inner beauty, plus I do like to think of myself as a English rose (lol maybe not)  But anyway I picked a design online and took it to my tattooist, she tweaked it a little and made my simple design look absolutely amazing! 2 weeks later I was sitting in the chair! it was definitely a painful day which took 4 and a half hours and even now the day after whilst I write this post I have a serious dead arm, but hey no pain no gain aye!

June Wishlist

No matter how many beauty products i own, theres always new collections and new hypes going around the beauty world its hard not to want more. This month has been no different, these are just a few products that definitely had to be on my wish list.

firstly the NARS velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella £17.50, the name just reminds me of the known story book villan cruella de vil and that signature red lip that personally i think she absolutely rocks. its a lovely passionate scarlet red shade and im a sucker for a lip pencil.

Eve Lom Rescue Mask 100ml £55.00, i got a sample size of this mask in my advent calendar from LOOK beauty at christmas and i absolutely loved it, the price tag is probably why its still on my wish list and not on my dressing table right now! its a camphor, almond, honey infused kaolin clay mask and is great for a deep weekly cleanse. its great at absorbing excess oil and i find its best to use in the mornings to get rid of puffy tired eyes and skin. This mask has won best inStyle award for 'Best Mask For Congested Skin' and i can definitely see why.

Hourglass brow Sculpting Pencil £26, this little gem from my knowledge is quite new on the block but already is very popular with beauty bloggers, ive read countless reviews and praise about this product and anything that will make doing my eyebrows easier is a product for me. the formula combines a powder and a wax for one easy step and a brush on the other end to groom brows into place, whats not to love!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 75 ml £16, now this is one of those products that ive always wanted but for some reason just never got round to picking it up. ive always been a nightmare sleeper no matter how tired i am i still seem to roll around the bed trying to find a comfy spot and ive heard great things about this product, basically its a pillow mist infused with essential oils of lavender, vetivert and wild camomile to soothe both body and mind. its a must have in my books!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light 30ml £27,50 i recently purchased the original version of double wear and i was quite pleased with the results but now as the days are getting longer and its getting warmer (slowly but surely) i need a foundation that doesn't give as much coverage and is more light on the skin. this one seems perfect, it is a 15 hr wear foundation which is great for those long days and nights out but gives a fresh natural and comfortable feel to the skin.

Finally MACs Russian red £14, is my last product for this months wish list and it talks for itself really, its a intense blush-red great for making a natural make up look bolder and a lot more exciting. its a matte finish which means it will be more drying on the lips than other MAC finishes, but a dab of lip balms underneath should sort you right out!

Lush bubblegum lip scrub

Wow this is a lovely little product. I've always had a problem with dry lips and no balms and moisturisers have ever really done it for me, I found this little beauty last year, the colour first drew me to it, it's so vibrant and colourful and just looked like a bit of fun. It's an exfoliating scrub  for your lips and i use it pretty much everyday, it's made from caster sugar which isn't just a great (gentle) scrub but it's also a sweet taste! It also includes jojoba oil which helps moisturise the lips without it leaving a greasy feeling. It's great to use before applying any lip product and I really do think it works plus it tastes incredible just like bubblegum! It's pretty cheap and cheerful think it was only £5 so definitely worth the price tag. One down side which i find with a lot of lush products is that they go out of date quite quickly I've had it for about 5 months and a lot of the scrub has hardened quite a bit but heyho it's still a great product!

Alpha H Liquid Gold - Worth The Hype?

Alpha H Liquid Gold has been bobbling round the beauty world for a while now, and ive heard nothing but great things about it, so a few months ago i took the plunge and picked up a bottle myself. And to be fair im not disappointed, i can see why people love this product and i most definitely think its worth the hype.

What is Alpha H Liquid Gold?

Alpha H Liquid Gold 200ml Beautybay.com
Alpha H Liquid Gold is nothing like ive ever used before, its an overnight resurfacing and firming face treatment for diminishing wrinkles pigmentation and sun damage. it is enriched with silk protein, licorice extract and Glycolic acid. The treatment is meant to jump start your metabolism in your skin for a brighter, clearer complexion. its very simple to apply, you use a cotton pad after you've completely cleansed and toned your skin and just swipe the treatment over face and neck. because of the Glycolic acid it can only be used every other night so say 3, 4 times a week. for this product to work at its best ability dont use a night cream after applying, just leave it to work its magic. Glycolic acid does sound a bit scary but in small amounts its fine to use on the skin. When Glycolic acid is used on the skin it works as a exfoliant, it goes under the damaged layers of skin and demolishes the 'cement' which holds the skin to the surface, this then chemically burns off the dead skin for a brighter clearer complexion.

I have combination and sensitive skin and it didn't irritate my skin at all. when i first started using it it did give a slight burning sensation but after a few times of using it this completely stopped. the feeling when using this product is a strange one, your face feels very tingly and quite tight.  the great thing about Alpha H Liquid Gold is that you see results instantly. the next day my skin looked completely different, because i have sensitive skin i have quite bad pigmentation, a lot of red patches, this seemed to clear that completely. my skin just looked so much brighter and more plumped. ive been using this product religiously for the past few months and i have truly seen a difference. id say this product would work wonders on all skin types, ive read plenty of reviews about it from a wide range of people with all different skin types and most have said lovely things about it.

it is slightly on the pricy side, but i 100% think its worth it. it comes in two different sizes, 100ml for £31.50 and 200ml for £44.95. i got mine from Beautybay.com and i would definitely reccomend their website it came very quickly, well packaged and i got a few freebie samples.
