New Launches 2014

Its that time of year again when brands bring out there new summer collections with bright bold colours and beautiful products, these are just some of my favorite products from new collections that im absolutely loving.

Pop star Lorde collaborates with MAC and launchers her new collection. Not exactly summery but definitely powerful, her new editions of lipstick in Pure Heroin and penultimate eye liner in Rapid black. The deep plum lip could turn any simple makeup look into something so powerful. The new collection launches online on 5th June.

This multitasking bronzer and blush looks more like a work of art, almost too good to use! Guerlain have bought out this product to celebrate their 30th anniversary and it looks like the best one yet. It contains 4 different shades, a light pink, coral, dark brown and a gold shimmer, all swirled together can give the best flush of colour with a golden glow. It is now available online at Sephora.

I was super excited to get my hands on these little beauties, with the colour pay off and long last wear of a liquid lipstick, shiny gloss of a lip-gloss and moisturising lightweight feel of a balm this is the wonder lip product. Dior has once again not dissapointed with the luxurious packaging and even more luxurious product. they are super pigmented and would complete any makeup look with the vast beautiful shade range. 16 shades for everyone to be able to find the right colour for them and for every occasion.

Now i know this isnt exactly a new launch, but its still just as exciting! Last year Hourglass bought out their ambient lighting powders in three shades and the hype around this product was insane, they then bought out the palette of all three shades as a limited edition product. Thankfully they have now made it part of there permanent collection which i am super happy about seeing as ive already hit pan! crazy. This wonder product helps brightens appearance, conceals imperfections, pores and wrinkles.  Hourglass use a opaque pigment to create a transparent coverage and a flawless complexion.

What new/current collections are you loving??

Best Drugstore Night Out Foundation

Packed club, not enough aircon and shiny face is my dread on every night out.

There's three things I look for in a foundation for a night out, full coverage, no SPF and humidity proof. This foundation has all these and more, for a cheap drugstore foundation it's great for a flawless complexion that can stand the humidity and those long nights dancing.

The Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation is one that i think doesn't get enough praise, it has all i look for in a high coverage foundation. it is a matte finish, but on my skin looks slightly dewy (not shiny) which is perfect and has such long lasting power. it states that it can last for 25 hours and although i dont know anyone who would keep there foundation on for that long it probably would last. its perfect for those days and nights when you need high coverage and you need it to last for a long period.

Its enriched with revitalising mineral complex and moisturising aqua primer which is great to keep skin hydrated and is described as Rimmel's first sweat, heat humidity and transfer proof. I believe it lives up to this and is especially good for a night out when your taking the infamous toilet selfies seeing as it has no SPF you wont look like a ghost in photos.

Even though this is a high coverage foundation, i find it so lightweight, non-cakey and so easy to buff evenly into the skin for a flawless completion. The only downside is the shade range, there is only 6 available shades which i doubt would match everyone's skin-tone completely. i use the shade 303 true nude which i was pleasantly surprised matched me perfectly.

Overall i am super happy with this foundation, for the bargain price of £7.99 its pretty much perfect and i think everyone needs it in there collection as it would work with all skin types.

Beauty Wish List

Its been a while since ive had a splurge at the beauty counters but that doesn't mean i haven't been temped. Here are a few bits that just had to be on my wishlist.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter £23.50 - Seems like forever ive been looking for the perfect highlighter which is great at brightening and concealing under the eyes and until now i haven't found anything that completely conceals my under eye suitcases, ive heard a lot of hype around this product so im hoping its going to do the job. i will definitely report back!

By Terry Ombre Blackstar  Melting Eye Shadows £30 - I am super excited to try these eye shadow crayons, they look perfect for those days when i need something quick and easy over my lids. they have a great choice of shimmery shades and are described as smudge proof with multi-active black pearl extracts. swipe over the lids, a quick blend and your good to go! the shade Blond Opal looks particular appealing to me, its a champagne shade which would look great in the corner and under the eyes to simply brighten.

Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask £57 - Recently my skin has been doing the complete opposite to what i want, breaksouts here, there and everywhere! i really need a good deep cleanse and my other clay masks just haven't been making the grade. this however seems just what i need. This calcium and magnesium rich mask is described to clear congested  pores and brighten skin as it draws out impurities.

Clarins Summer Bronzing Compact - This little beauty hasn't been released yet but you can be sure, i will be the first one at my local John Lewis the day it does. i have written a blog post about the whole 2014 collection, click here to have a read!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick In The Shade Bang £15 - This product on my wishlist is all down to Lilly Melrose who is a fellow Blogger and Youtuber. Ive been looking for the perfect orange red lipstick for ages and whilst watching her latest video she mentioned this product and said how long lasting it was, the colour is a beautiful red with orange undertones. It doesn't seem too matte which is what i look for in a red lipstick but it still has long lasting power. looks right up my street!

By Terry Tint To Lip £22 - I love a good lip tint, there so ideal for when your on the go all day, you dont need to worry if its smudged or rubbed off like most lipsticks and glosses. I found these really interesting, they are described as a 'tattoo finish' and by the sounds of that they must be super long lasting. the colours are super bold which is great for the upcoming summer.

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky Nude Palette £36 - Now i certainly dont need another nude palette but they are a total addiction for me. Most of my palettes are massive and not exactly travel friendly. So i was searching around the web for a more travel friendly smaller one and found this smoky nude palette by Dior, it looks perfect 3 nude shades to create the perfect smoky eye.

What's on your wishlist this month??

Bargain Brushes.

Hi I'm Shavannah and I'm a makeup brush addict.

Brushes are what complete a make up look, could you imagine doing your whole makeup routine with just your fingers? He'll no. I am forever putting new brushes to the test and exploring different ways and techniques to use them to the best of there ability - they can instantly turn your completion into a flawless delight. Now days brushes from brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown and the rest are around the £20-£30 mark which to be honest is day light robbery but thankfully the pixie woo sisters saved our bank balances and launched there own brush range called real technique, now I won't blabber on about them seeing as everyone and their mother has them but they are such lovely quality brushes at such affordable prices. At around £20 for a set I'm more than happy to pay that but when you can find a pretty spot on dupe for less than half that I'm even more pleased.

These brushes are pretty identical, looks wise and the way they work. They come in sets of 5 (or singerly) and include 1 duo fibre brush, 2 dense angled brushes, a large tapered brush and a short round dense brush. They are amazing for any face needs ( foundation, concealer, contour, blush, highlight, powder) they are soo soft and wash completely fine they also come in pink and gold which is a good little bonus. They seem to be the same quality as any high end brush I own and are soo worth there £8 price tag.

Cleansing Balm - Wonder Product?

Since for as long as i can remember i have only used liquid cleansers and i was quite happy with the results they gave. until recently when cleansing balms really started to make there mark on the beauty world i never gave them a second look. I have heard such great things about them i just had to get involved.

This cleansing balm from Elemis is just sight a delight to use and as silly as it sounds i cant wait to cleanse my face every morning and evening. you literally need the tiniest amount as it melts so lovely into your fingers and a little goes a long way. The smell wont be to everyone's taste but i find it so calming and relaxing, it smells slightly menthol, but also a hint of rose/ spa like. I have combination skin with a oily t-zone so was sceptical at first incase it broke me out or made my skin feel more oily but it still worked wonders.

I find this balm very hydrating rather than stripping the skin of essential oils plus it doubles up as a treatment mask. If i really feel like i need a pamper i put this on have a nice bath and wash it off 10 minutes later, the next day my skin looks much more radiant and plump, gives me a great confidence boost to start the day off!

It comes with a flannel which i love using rather than a muslin cloth as it gives a nice exfoliating texture and can really get to every last spec of make up.

Overall this is a wonder product and i cant rave about it enough, its slightly on the pricey side but for what you get it is seriously worth it.

Ingredients; It is formulated with all natural oils grown within the UK, and combines starflower, elderberry and optimega oils with rose and mimosa waxes. Plus has anti-ageing pavonica to norish skin and give a glowing complexion.

Clarins Summer 2014 Colours Of Brazil Collection.

As soon as i saw this collection i instantly fell in love, Clarins really knows how to bring out an amazing collection and this seems to be there best one yet. These are a few things im so eager to get my hands on when it launches sometime this month.

Firstly their new summer bronzing compact looks divine, i have the bronzing compact from their 2013 collection and if its anything like that i know im going to love it. It is a mixture of a dark matte brown and a lighter brown with subtle shimmer to create a natural but sun kissed glow.

This eyes palette really interests me mainly because of the electric blue eye liner that looks like it could turn a simple nude eye look into something very powerful. it also contains 4 wet and dry eye shadows including matte, iridescent and satin effect.

Truly waterproof mascaras are what these sleek little gems are called and id be very interested to see if they live up to there title. These mascaras apparently are the best of both thickening and lengthening and 12 hour water proof hold, hmm cant wait to try!

And finally, slightly late to the show Clarins have decided to launch their very own version of the lip balm crayons. These balms are described as having a creamy texture, ultra shiny and be instantly moisturising.

Summer Time Lip.

(From left to right)

Clinique Chubby Stick - Curvy Candy. £17

This particular lip product is one of those get up and go, no need to think to much into it and would go with any makeup look. Clinique describe this shade as bubblegum pink which is pretty accurate. As its a sheer balm crayon it is so moisturising and and silky on the lips and unlike most balms you can really build this shade up and get a very full pop of colour. it leaves a very glossy finish ideal for the upcoming summer months. Clinique is the mother of crayon balms and these are far better quality then some other crayons ive tried from other brands.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss - Vibrant Coral 110 £5.49.

This Rimmel lipstick is great for turning a simple make up look into something a bit more special. It is a vibrant coral (like the name suggests) with red undertones, its a velvet matte finish and lasts absolutely all day. It doesn't smudge or get all over your face after eating or drinking so ideal for long days/nights out and although it can be quite drying using a good quality lip balm like the Nuxe Rev De Mel will sort that out straight away. Overall its great value for money and the colour pay off is lovely.

MAC Lipstick - Brave £15.

This is one of my favourite MAC lipstick of all time, its so versatile and can be used all year long. its a muted pink beige shade and could go with any makeup look. As its a satin finish its semi matte and as like most MAC satin lipsticks it can be slightly drying so would recommend using a lip scrub and balm before applying to help this beaut look at its best!

Bourjor Rouge Edition - Corail En Vouge 19. £7.99

I have been reaching for this lipstick most than all my others lately, i love chucking this on before i leave for work for a slight pop of colour. its a peach nude shade and love wearing it everyday, its extremely glossy, soft and moisturising. it doesn't have as good of pay off as some others but for a really simple nude lip i will always gravitate to this. I can hardly feel it when i wear it, feels almost air whipped mouse and it doesn't dry out at all.

Maybelline Colour Sensation - Coral Tonic 442. £7.19

This lipstick is so similar to the Rimmel Vibrant Coral one but with slightly more orange undertones and alot more creamy and less matte. if you like the Rimmel one but dont like a matte finish then this would be for you, the colour pay off is amazing and will last for ages only needed a slight touch up here and there. its a great transition colour from the colder months to the warmer. Its not too much to wear during the day and looks great for a night out.
