Current Favourites #1

This month has definitely been one of those 'go on treat yourself' 'indulge a little bit' kinda months. Ive found some right good gems that ive been loving and a few holy grails to add to the bunch..

YSL Baby Doll Kiss and Blush - Rouge Libertine £27.00
When i heard about this new collection i couldn't wait to get my hands on them, they are right up my street in terms of lip products, this multipurpose product is a liquid lipstick and blush in one. Personally i haven't used it as a blush but as a lipstick its absolutely beautiful. The shade i have is a deep bold red ideal to make any makeup look that little bit more special. It goes on so smooth and has the perfectly shaped applicator to make application on the cupids bow perfect with no mess. this liquid lipstick goes on glossy and dries matte, it is super long lasting but still hydrates the lips and left them non dry without any cracking. If your looking for a no fuss long lasting lipstick and dont mind the slightly hefty price tag give this a go!

Topshop Glow Stick - Play Up £10.00
Ive been on the search for the perfect highlight for so long and theres always been something missing .. until now! This has got to be the best highlight ive ever used drugstore and high end. It comes in a kinda chunky crayon form with a twist up applicator. It has no chunky glitter like you find in most highlights just pure pearly champagne shimmer, to apply i just sweep it across the high points of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and blend, because of the chunky form it puts just the right amount of product on the skin, with just a quick blend your good to go. Its not subtle by a long shot but for illuminated dimensions this highlighter stick enhances and accents facial contours perfectly.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer - NW20 £15.50
Holy grail concealer right here! I think this is kinda new as i haven't heard much rave about it yet but im sure it will come! this concealer does exactly what its meant to, conceal, and as the name suggest it is super long lasting which is ideal for long days and nights when you need your make up to stay in place. I was pleasantly surpriced how long lasting it was as it felt so lightweight and didn't dry or go into any fine lines around my eyes. Id say this concealer is definitely medium to full coverage, ideal for those stubborn blemishes and tired old suitcases under your eyes.

Mac Lipstick - Lady Danger £15.00
If your on the hunt for a staple signature red then please look no further! Lady Danger by MAC is a matte orangey red that delivers the staying power we expect from MAC formulations, although i found it slightly drying on its own with a hydrating lip balm underneath it gave it a lovely glossy bold finish.

What have you been loving this month??

Palette Of The Month #1

I have a never ending draw full of palettes from eyes to cheek to lips, ill get hooked on one use it endlessly for a few weeks then have an affair with another, so thought why not make it a  thing talking about my favourite palette of the month.. When it comes to eyeshadow palettes we all know Urban Decay rock it..

Ive had this palette in my collection since christmas and until last month haven't really touched it, the Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay is a eyeshadow palette full with 6 neutral shades, Venus which is a soft pearl off-white matte with a subtle glow, Foxy a matte cream , W.O.S (Walk Of Shame) a light pinky under-toned matte nude, Naked 2 a warm matte taupe, Faint a dark matte brown and finally Crave a pure matte black, all nicely contained in a small travel friendly (with a good size mirror) compact.

This is a great on the go and travel light palette because of its multi purpose, i use three of the shades for eye shadow (Foxy, W.O.S and Naked 2) they are so good for everyday natural makeup looks. Faint, the dark brown is an ideal shade for me to use to fill in my eyebrows and Venus, the pearl shimmer is a great highlight for under the brow bone, cheek bones and down the bridge of the nose. If im feeling slightly more adventurous or need to turn my day look into night ill also use the black matte shade Crave as a eyeliner blended above the lash line for a more smoky eye.

All the shades are very highly pigmented and are buttery soft, its a great all round multipurpose palette that can so easily slip into your handbag for your make up on the go needs. If your not a matte kinda gall id definitely still give this a try as im sure every girl could get it to work for her, at a reasonable price of £22 its a very reasonably price palette for what you can get out of it. Get yours here!

im always on the hunt for the perfect nude palette, suggestions ??
